Summary.... This presentation was made by AMR principal analyst Tom Adams to Merrill Lynch's annual Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference in Marina del Ray. It assesses the degree to which Blu-ray will replace the continuing decline in DVD retail and rental revenues through to 2013, and how the traditional video store is being squeezed by subscription services and the growing kiosk segment. It also looks at the impact that VOD and transactional online video, will have on studio revenues from film.
