Adams
Media Research and Screen Digest Form
Trans-Atlantic Partnership
To Provide World’s
Most Comprehensive Video Industry Information
Service
Carmel, California (September
24, 2003): The two leading research and consulting
firms specializing in home video
research—US-based Adams Media Research and
UK-based Screen Digest—have agreed to pool their
resources to provide the world’s most
comprehensive video and DVD online information
service.
Earlier this year, London-based Screen Digest
launched the online service, “Video and DVD
Intelligence,”
covering
Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Now Adams
Media Research, based in Carmel, California, will
contribute its comprehensive market information
and projection models of the DVD and VHS markets
in the USA to “Video and DVD Intelligence.” By
combining their resources the two companies will
be able to offer their clients a video and DVD
information service which will be by far the most
complete and authoritative anywhere in the world.
The “Video and DVD Intelligence” service now
provides, for over forty countries representing
over 95% of the worldwide home video marketplace,
a wide range of continuously updated market
information, data and forecasts covering all
aspects of the VHS and DVD hardware and software
markets, with further information on the retail
and rental distribution environment, regulatory
issues, etc.
“We are delighted to be working with Adams Media
Research,” said Screen Digest’s Ben Keen,
“which has an outstanding reputation and has set
the highest standards of research for the USA.”
“By pooling the worldwide resources
of the two leading video and DVD research
organizations, commented Tom Adams of Adams Media
Research, “we can offer the industry the most
accurate market data available in an
easy-to-access, Web-based service. The days of
hunting around for data on the worldwide video
marketplace are over for video industry executives
and the financial community.”
